flowers in our side yard
Yesterday on our anniversary, I looked outside our dining room that looks onto our side yard, and noticed that there is a tree/bush thing that's blooming with these gorgeous flowers!!! How fitting as we start a new year of our marriage!

Any idea what they are??? :)
**Edited to add: They are pink magnolias!
This will look soooo cool when this tree gets really big!

we got a lawnmower!
I know this doesn't really have a lot to do with our house, but I'm just super excited about this. And, for the record, I never ever thought I'd be excited about something like this but I am.
Jason and Angie (my step-aunt & uncle?)... anyway, they're selling us their lawn mower and weed eater! This was something Ryan and I had been semi-anxious about because we didn't have either one, and we would definitely need it when we move into our house!

They're really good quality, and they gave us a STEAL of a deal! YAY!
(Umm... have fun with that, Ryan) :)

hummingbirds & butterflies.
We're in the process of getting the seller to give us instructions on how to keep her gorgeous landscaping looking beautiful. Yesterday at the inspection, I got the chance to take more pictures of the front and back yards. The seller showed me her hummingbird feeder that she's leaving with the house, and there were actual hummingbirds buzzing around it! Gorgeous! Also, she had some plants that attract butterflies, so I literally felt like Snow White in the pretty meadow with butterflies and hummingbirds! :)P.S. I know y'all are wanting to see pictures of the inside, but we're waiting until we can get before & after pictures because the seller's decor and ours is WAY different! All in due time. Until then, I'll be posting about design inspiration and decor ideas. Yay!
